We promote awareness and the advancement of women’s rights to ensure equity regardless of gender identity, sex, ability status, age, sexual orientation or economic class.

Ganja Regional Women Center Public Union was established in 2003. It was registered by the ministry of Justice in March 2006. Ganja Regional Women Center (GRWC) Public Union serves for the best interest of vulnerable women in Ganja region by assisting the development of democratic values, increasing the role of women in society and ensuring elective bodies to help promote them. GRWC has been instrumental in helping IDP women settled around Ganja city protecting their human rights, defending cases on domestic violence, empowering them to stand for their economic and social-political rights. GRWC has fostered young girls education both in country and internationally.

Throughtout these years we have established fundamental partnerships with government on all levels, international donors and civil society organisations. CRWC has implemented 42 projects with USAID, Counterpart Internatioanl, GIZ, US Embassy, UN Agencies, EMBASSY OF JAPAN and other donors. Currently GRWC employs 5 full time staff members, has a solid roster of international and local experts and trainers to mobilse for a specific advocacy, infrastructure, legal defence, capacity building projects.

The Ganja Regional Women Center is a place of advocacy, support, and safety for all women of the Ganja region area and greater community. Through a feminist model of empowerment, we offer educational, social, and cultural programming aimed at encouraging women’s self-determination and community engagement. We promote awareness and the advancement of women’s rights to ensure equity regardless of gender identity, sex, ability status, age, sexual orientation or economic class. We seek to facilitate understanding and mutual respect among community members to achieve social justice, as well as foster a positive environment. GRWC provides the tools and resources necessary to enhance success within academic, personal, and professional aspects of women’s lives.

Sustained activities since 2003

  • Continuous trainings, seminars, conferences, meetings, charity marafons within protection of women rights;
  • Support Center was established for the victims of genderbased violence;
  • Continuous activity on enhancing women participation in the society;
  • Activity on strengthening business skills of young women;
  • Activity on improving social welfare of women;
  • Improving cross-border tourism;
  • Activity on improving of drinking water supply;
  • Activity on improving water supply, sanitation and hygenic and struggle against COVID19.
